Lightweight bamboo beams span each room, tying the walls together and extending outward to form shaded eaves. A double roof system, inspired by traditional Nepali architecture, includes a lower ceiling made from cut recycled plastic bottles arranged like clay roof tiles. Above that, semi-transparent PVC panels provide full weather protection while letting in daylight. Inside, each room includes curved bookshelves and round bamboo doors that create nooks when closed and open to extend the classroom. Students paint the doors with unique colors and cultural symbols for wayfinding.
