Pushing the limits of 3D-printed home technology, MICROGROVE structures are constructed with a mix of experimental methods. The lower reefbase columns will be pre-fabricated offsite and delivered to the bay where they will be craned into place. Above the reefbase, the hull space can be pre-fabricated or printed in place via the world’s first floating barge equipped with an active 3D printer (ICON PHOENIX) system. The cabins and the crow’s nest spaces will be created through a similar combination of on-site and off-site manufacturing techniques.
